Our Senior Citizen Program strives to improve the quality of life of older adults. We do this by providing services designed to foster independence and enable seniors to remain active, functioning members of the community for as long as possible.

The following activities, information, and services are provided especially for persons aged 60 and over by the Leyden Senior Citizen Program: 

Housekeeping –– provides light housekeeping to impaired elderly persons who are unable to do these tasks. 

Transportation –– provides local transport of seniors for medical appointments and necessary errands. 

Fuel Energy –– Community and Economic Development Agency (CEDA) assists low-income citizens by offsetting the rising cost of home energy through direct financial assistance to eligible citizens of all ages.
