Start Here Addiction Rehabilitation
& Education (The SHARE Program)
Thank you for inquiring about the SHARE Program. SHARE is our
not-for-profit residential alcohol and drug abuse detoxification and
rehabilitation treatment facility. In existence since 1977, SHARE offers
a variety of services for male and female adults 18 years and older. Our
clients exhibit a great deal of courage in getting themselves into
treatment. They do what they think is impossible and in doing so open up
a new world of possibility.
Our services are offered in both outpatient and
residential/inpatient settings. A diagnostic assessment is completed to
determine a client's treatment needs and appropriate level of care.
Treatment consists of a combination of individual and group counseling
sessions, educational lectures, recreational therapy, onsite 12 step
meetings, a psychiatric evaluation when appropriate, and
aftercare/discharge planning.
Pregnant women, women with children, and injecting drug users
are considered a priority population for treatment.

We
are open around the clock for questions and can take admissions at any
time of the day or night. Clients are often referred from families,
friends, employers, social service agencies, physicians, and
hospitals.
Treatment
in our SHARE Program is affordable through discounted fee schedules and
flexible payment plans. Also, we are a preferred provider for some insurance companies
that may cover all or a portion
of the cost. Besides client fees and third party payments, additional
funding is provided in whole or part by the Division of Alcoholism and
Substance Abuse, Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant
Fund, United Way, Leyden, Proviso, Schamburg, and Hanover Park Township support, donations and contributions.
SHARE
is professionally staffed by Physicians, Nurses, Emergency Medical
Technicians, Certified Addictions Counselors, Licensed Clinical
Professional Counselors, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers. The
facility is fully licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and
Substance Abuse and is JCAHO accredited. Here is a listing of the
